Weapons Seized at Abu Samra Border in Qatar
The Land Customs Department successfully intercepted an attempt to smuggle weapons and firearms across the Abu Samra border crossing.
During a routine inspection, officials utilized advanced vehicle scanning technology to search a vehicle entering the country. Hidden within the vehicle were three weapons and 1,900 bullets.
Recent upgrades by the General Authority of Customs at the Abu Samra border included the deployment of new inspection devices.
These innovative tools can screen up to 130 cars per hour, operating at an efficient rate of approximately two minutes per vehicle.
Additionally, they leverage Artificial Intelligence to identify and prevent the entry of prohibited hazardous materials into Qatar.
